Introduction
I consider myself to be a classy person, not because I'm rich or powerful, but because I have good manners and I know what looks and feels right for the occasion. I.e., if someone says they love my blouse, I don't tell them it's a Versace and I paid $1,000.00 for it. I just warmly answer, "Thank you!" My style is quietly classic, and I have enough sense not to dress out of my age range or in a trashy manner.
I start out somewhat shy and quiet, but once I get more used to a person, I'm quite talkative and can converse about just about anything. People who don't know me well don't expect me to be funny, because although I'm pleasant, I look serious mostly, especially in a business setting, but I have a quick wit and a great sense of humor. In past jobs, I've been the person in the office that all the and even most of the employees were crazy about. It's partly that I'm an attractive lady, but mostly because I'm warm and welcoming, and I tend to be aware of their situation and concerned about their needs. I'm the worker who keeps flowers on her desk and candy in a basket for passersby, and makes cookies, cakes and cheesecake to bring in to the office. I used to be a legal secretary, and whoever I was working for, I knew all his cases and all his . Where most people will go into a job and take two or three months to be up to speed, I'll just about always be on top of it and in charge within a week. What am I doing now? Putting together a book of poetry, which I plan to self-publish on-line, and working on getting either into a trade school to learn piano technology (tuning and restoring) or full-time college.
I'm into classical music and love to go to concerts. I'm a movie buff and an avid reader as well as a prolific writer in my own right. I tend to prefer action-adventure movies (especially anything with Chow Yun Fat, Jet Li or Jackie Chan) and books, and avoid sitcoms, "chick flicks" or bodice-ripper novels. Some other types of books I do enjoy are westerns, adventure, lawyer mysteries, Stephen King, biographies and historical novels.
If you are looking for a frilly, keep-up-with-the-Joneses kind of woman who spends hours on the phone, dyes her hair and owns 1,000 pairs of shoes and a closetful of clothes, and yet constantly cries "I don't have a thing to wear", I'm not your type. I would say I'm pretty unconventional in a quiet way, and I am probably not like anyone you have ever met.
I don't smoke, go very light on drinking, and have never used street drugs. When I was in my 20's, I did a good deal of pub-crawling, but since my 30's, I have been completely disinterested in the bar scene; it's much too noisy and I learned long ago that all I'm going to meet at a bar is drinkers with a high probability of getting stuck with an alcoholic. About the only reason I would want to go out drinking would be with someone I'm comfortable with, if it were a comedy club or had really good live music. I guess "going out dancing and chasing men" is something the wise lady grows out of.
I am rather traditional in the bedroom, and don't like to be approached with vulgarity -- not to say I never swear, because of course I do, but dick pictures and nasty or abusive language won't get you an answer from me. Just because I would like to have a man doesn't mean I'm a ! I'm not another guy, either, so what you might think is hot would probably not do it for me. Women are different from men, remember?
Bed-hopping is not my thing and I don't want to be with a promiscuous man -- something else that I've grown out of. I'd be much more interested in a long-term, monogamous relationship. To try to forestall one of the pitfalls of this site, I will say forthrightly right here and now that I am NOT interested in married men, will not be persuaded otherwise for any consideration, and lying to me and claiming to be single will not work. I'm very bright, and there isn't anyone smart enough or a good enough liar that I won't see through it.
My Ideal Person I'm interested in a professional, intelligent, well-educated man with a good sense of humor, at least 45 and no more than 60 -- and that should not be a sloppy, uncared for 60. I'm very attracted to men who have foreign accents such as Chinese, and I am attracted to the Asian or Middle-Eastern ethnic look. No smokers, please. Also, I am not interested in a casual, one-night-stand, or in being "the other woman."
